SARAH WANTS TO FOCUS ON STUDENT OUTCOMES BY SUPPORTING EDUCATORS

Student learning is the most vital role of public schools. Sarah intends to focus on recruiting and retaining quality teachers and staff. Building supports for existing teachers and improving training and professional development. More teachers, counselors and support staff in schools means smaller class sizes and more management workloads, allowing teachers to focus on teaching.

SARAH WANTS TO ENSURE FAMILIES ARE SUPPORTED AND STUDENTS ARE SAFE

Parent involvement is also key to student’s learning. Educating families on how they play a part. Encouraging their students can be as simple as letting them know how important education is and making sure they get to school.

SARAH WANTS TO INCREASE TRANSPARENCY AND ENSURE TAX DOLLARS ARE SPENT WISELY

Sarah wants to ensure the financial impropriety that occurred at TPS over the past couple of years never happens again. She will push to increase transparency and accountability to the public and ensure tax dollars are spent wisely and efficiently for the benefit of all TPS students and educators.

SARAH WANTS TO END THE CHAOS AT THE TULSA SCHOOL BOARD

Having observed the current tensions surrounding TPS, Sarah intends to bring her commonsense approach to solving problems to the school board. She will collaborate with the community, school administrators, and fellow board members to end the chaos and put the focus back where it should be: on the students.
